FALL BALL
BASEBALL ALBERTA FALL BALL LEAGUE GUIDELINES
The Baseball Alberta Fall Ball League is a developmental league running during September and October, spanning four weeks, with each team playing eight games (double headers on Saturdays). The focus is on player development.
PAYMENT
Each team must submit a $400 entry fee to participate in the Fall Ball Baseball League.
Baseball Alberta will cover all umpire fees.
ROSTERS
A comprehensive roster must be submitted to Baseball Alberta before the first game. No transfer requirements are in place for players participating in Fall Ball.
RULES
Unlimited substitution is allowed throughout the games, with coaches encouraged to ensure equal playing time for all players.
All players present at the game must be listed on the lineup card, and all players will hit in order.
Game scores and pitch counts do not need to be reported to Baseball Alberta, but coaches must adhere to the Pitch Count Guidelines.
Each team is required to bring two new baseballs to each game for the umpire.
Apart from the specified rules, all other regulations will be based on the 'AA' category rules for each division.
Note:
All amendments to regulations and playoff rules are subject to approval by the Baseball Alberta Board of Directors.
